Planning Fees Set to Rise from 1st April 2026

New planning fees will come into effect across Scotland from 1 April 2026.

The new fees will see an inflation-linked increase of 3.9% increase in fees. This adjustment applies to applications submitted to planning authorities, as well as local reviews and appeals to Scottish Ministers made on or after this date. Planning Circular 1/2026 has been produced to provide advice and guidance on changes to fees. The ePlanning fee calculator will be updated with the new fee levels and to include local review and appeal fees.
