Shetland Islands Council is proposing to introduce a speed limit of 40 miles per hour on the A970 road through Voe.

Work has begun on the harbour upgrade at Grutness Harbour, meaning that the pier will be unavailable for the next few months.

The Shetland Car Club is continuing to grow – with new electric vehicles, a new website and branding.

Tingwall Airport runway resurfacing to start next month
Work will soon get underway to resurface the runway and apron at Tingwall Airport, which is expected to take around four weeks.

Operational note - Changes to Scalloway bus services due to resurfacing works
Resurfacing works in Scalloway will close the road from the public hall to the Chapel Lane spur to Houl Road from Tuesday 22nd to Sunday 27th.

Veensgarth Roundabout reopens
Work to resurface the Veensgarth roundabout has now been completed, and the road has reopened.
