Toilets

There are two wheelchair accessible toilets in the library, on the ground floor. Please ask staff for assistance if you need help manoeuvring in. If you find you need assistance to get out, please feel free to pull the red cord.

Ground floor toilet – left

  • Side transfer space (right transfer): 5750 mm
  • Turning space:  1310 mm x 1280 mm
  • Clearance under sink pipes: 370 mm
  • Toilet height: 430 mm

Ground floor toilet – right

  • Side transfer space (left transfer): 810 mm
  • Turning space: 1140 mm x 1420 mm
  • Clearance under sink pipes: 370 mm
  • Toilet height: 430 mm
  • The door is at an angle. Manoeuvring towards the sink corner, then reversing into transfer space may work best for some

Seating

We have many different types and heights of seating around the library, as well as booster cushions. Just ask staff if you need assistance.


Computers

We have a range of accessibility aids, height adjustable tables, and staff who can help.

We provide resources in different formats to help those with visual impairments, including our talking newspaper.
